Find your zen and a place of peace, for a cause.

Yoga Under the Stars in the Zeidler Dome

Our second annual Yoga Under The Stars, Kinetic Community Sweat in partnership with the Telus World of Science and in support of the Edmonton Space and Science Foundation was held in December and it did not disappoint!

From yoga led by Christina Cheung of Metta Yoga, to meditation led by Andrea Rice and soft sounds curated by Sebastien Bolessa; the immersive experience gave you an opportunity to pause, reflect and look within. Not to mention an opportunity for body work in the post-event Kinetic Living Lounge for treatment from one of our chiropractors, massage therapists, or physiotherapsists and a treat (or two) from our friends and Saje Wellness, Sorriso Press and Lululemon!

A Moment To Look Within
Surrounding yourself by serene sounds and the starry-night sky can have positive effects on mendal health and well-being. The psychological effects of star gazing is apparent in the research with participants reporting less stress, reduced anxiety, and an improved or ‘good’ mood.

Escaping the hustle- and-bustle of life allows you to find your own personal connection to the cosmos; paired with a vigilant focus on the body-mind connection, feeling truly zen is what its all about!

In Movement We Trust
At Kinetic we truly feel that as a community we move together, and the creation of spaces to move is what drives and feeds the soul. Movement can be anything from a walk in the park, to attending your yoga class, or going for a run with friends. The idea of moving together cultivates an energy that brings about joy to your mental health and well-being, and to every cell in your body!
